By understanding a client's mental processes and their interactions with their feelings, we can strive to create positive and productive change.

I graduated with my Master in Social Work from Saint Louis University, 2013. I also have an advanced certification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the Saint Louis Psychoanalytic Institute, 2014.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is aimed at personality changing goals and
symptom relieving efforts. The patient is always in control of the therapeutic
process.

Psychotherapy differs from other forms of therapy because it takes the patient
into a deeper level of understanding about mental processes which impact our
feelings, motivation and patterns of behavior. While there is a focus on current
situations there are also unconscious factors and forces that are temporarily
blocked from our consciousness.
