Hi There,
If you're a beginner clinician, an aspiring provider, or a seasoned practitioner looking for an opportunity to transition your career or would like more clinical experience, I believe you've come to a wonderful place in your life.

Often times, in clinical practice, practitioners are encouraged to provide safe and nurturing environments for patients but often struggle to find resources and incentives to continue the compassionate and difficult work that they do. So, we've created an entity that can help articulate expectations and parameters that clinicians can believe in working with.

Congruent Psychotherapy is designed to mimic or parallel private practice as a solo practitioner, but with the benefits of being in a group practice. We hope that you'll feel more equipped to begin your own journey as a solo practitioner in the future. You, the clinician, would be provided certain provisions to be able to experience clinical practice without the same degree of risk or cost. There will be no one enforcing your schedule; your caseload is your own; you determine your rates based on your values; you decide if you want to be paneled with insurance (with the support of the practice); and ultimately, it can be whatever you would like it to be. There will be no non-competes and a unique pay scale designed to parallel earnings in your own practice.

My Story
My name is Johnny Kim. I am a licensed clinical social worker who initially began training at the Saint Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. My experiences in both group practice and in solo practice encouraged further exploration into understanding what needs are not being met for both my patients, and myself. As a clinician, it has been reminded to me that our work is viscerally exhausting, and oftentimes, lonesome. In creating your own practice, there are aspects that are often overlooked, such as a neglect for creating a community and the burden of managing administrative tasks. By creating this group practice, I encourage group collaboration with the other clinicians, while also feeling as though you've created your own foundation. Practice with the patients that you care for, while also feeling cared for. I believe that providing a therapeutic environment for both therapist and patient will lead to better treatment outcomes and an increase in delivering care. Thank you for being here and for being curious. Looking forward to collaborating with you.
